Course Description

In this 6-week live online course, we explore theory and practical skills for fostering inner resourcefulness, living with more presence, and making choice-based actions aligned with your values and aspirations. This self-exploration process brings together mind-body connection with mindfulness practices to assist you in creating inner congruency for authentic living.

Course Details

The course starts on Tuesday, 6th May, and includes a 1.5-hour live session each week for six weeks. These interactive online sessions are held every Tuesday from 5:15 PM to 6:45 PM (Sydney time, AEST).

Participants will also receive an online copy of the Emerge: Mindful Integration Workbook, featuring course content, self-reflection questions, and exercises to enhance their learning experience.

  • In this session, we’ll delve into a holistic model of the self to assist in deepening your understanding of wellbeing and wholeness. By recognising the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, you will have a solid foundation for the transformative journey ahead.

  • In this session, we navigate the world of mindfulness, exploring how it can be a powerful tool for transformation. You'll uncover how putting mindfulness into practice can sharpen your focus, expand your awareness, and enhance your overall well-being.

  • In this section, we explore the mind-body connection by drawing on the insights of Polyvagal Theory and breath training. You’ll explore the language of the body and its continuous communication, deepening your connection with the feelings and sensations happening within. With a specific focus on the breath as a powerful bridge linking body and mind, you’ll learn the foundational principles of optimal diaphragmatic breathing and discover how quality breathing can support presence in your physical body.

  • In this session, we explore the mind and develop the skills to step back from your thoughts rather than getting tangled up in them. You'll gain insights into your brain's workings, practise mindfulness-based and relaxation techniques, and discover a stable self amidst the ebb and flow of thoughts. By the end, you'll have a clearer understanding of the tendencies of the mind and tools for cultivating mind space.

  • In this session, we'll explore practical strategies for effectively managing stress and restoring balance. From understanding stressors and emotions to building inner resourcefulness, you'll learn valuable techniques for attending to your internal needs and nurturing overall well-being.

  • In this session, we explore what truly matters and what drives your choices. This exploration is designed to empower you with greater discernment, enabling you to make more mindful and intentional decisions. We'll also review the mind-body practices learned in previous sections, applying their practical use in daily life.

Embodied Approach

The content we explore throughout the course is grounded in the concept of learning by doing and focuses on helping you embody the shared knowledge. We will delve into approaches from coaching psychology, leadership, and ancient contemplative traditions' philosophy. Beyond the content, each live session is an opportunity to reveal and nourish the most authentic aspects of yourself and connect with an incredible community.

FAQs

  • There is a 1.5-hour live online session each week for six weeks. Live sessions are held on Wednesdays from 5:15pm to 6:45pm, Sydney Time Zone.

  • In each session, we will share content, engage in group and partner discussions, and participate in various activities related to the week’s topic. For specific session information, refer to the weekly course details above.

  • This course includes:

    • Weekly Live Sessions: 1.5 hours per week for 6 weeks.

    • Pre-Course Preparation: A small amount of pre-work, including one of two self-inquiry tasks and reflection questions (approximately 30 mins).

    • Between-Session Activities: Practices and tasks to deepen your learning. These include reflective questions and daily mindfulness-based practices to support embodied learning (30 mins daily).

  • Participation in group discussions is not mandatory, but it is highly encouraged to enrich your experience. During the course, there will be:

    • One-on-One Breakout Room Discussions: Opportunities for focused, reflective conversations with a partner.

    • Small Group (Trio) Breakout Rooms: Collaborative discussions in small groups to explore insights and share perspectives in a supportive and safe environment.

    These breakout sessions are designed to foster connection, reflection, and shared learning while creating a comfortable space for everyone to participate at their own comfort level.

  • A pre-recording of the content shared in each session will be available. However, live recordings of the interactive sessions won't be stored to maintain a confidential space.

  • Yes, there are opportunities for ongoing support after the course concludes. Many participants stay connected with each other, fostering a sense of community. Additionally:

    • Retreats: I offer in-person retreats that include workshops with similar content to help you continue deepening your journey.

    • 1:1 Integration Coaching: For those who desire personalized guidance, I provide one-on-one online coaching sessions to help you integrate what you’ve learned into your daily life.

    • Mind-Body Practice Recordings: Access to recordings of guided mind-body practices will be provided to support your continued exploration and practice beyond the course.

    These options are designed to support you in sustaining and expanding the growth you've experienced during the course.
