Day 7: Inner Knowing
Over the past seven days, you have cultivated the ability to slow down, turn inward, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself.
You have practised noticing your experience, grounding in the present moment, listening to your body, and developing tools to support your nervous system.
Today, we bring these practices together through an invitation to connect with your inner knowing, the sense of clarity and wisdom that can emerge when we create space to listen inward.
In a world filled with constant information, expectations, and external influences, this practice invites you to return to yourself and reconnect with what feels true, meaningful, and aligned.
Today's Insight
Calm is not only about feeling relaxed in the moment. It is also about creating a deeper sense of connection with ourselves.
Throughout our lives, we receive countless messages about who we should be, what we should value, and how we should move through the world. Over time, it can become easy to lose touch with our own inner voice and make choices that feel disconnected from what truly matters to us.
Inner knowing is the capacity to listen inward to recognise our values, needs, experiences, and the qualities that make us feel most aligned with ourselves. It is not about having all the answers or avoiding uncertainty, but about developing a deeper sense of self-trust as we navigate life.
When our thoughts, actions, and choices become more aligned with who we are, we often experience greater clarity, confidence, and ease. In contrast, when we repeatedly move away from what feels authentic or meaningful, we may experience increased inner tension, self-doubt, or a sense of disconnection.
By cultivating awareness, compassion, and connection with ourselves, we strengthen our capacity to meet life with greater steadiness and respond from a place of choice rather than being guided solely by fear, pressure, or external expectations.
This is one of the foundations of lasting calm: not the absence of challenge, but the ability to remain connected to ourselves through it.
Today's Practice
Find a comfortable place to practice and allow yourself a few moments to arrive.
Today's practice invites you to journey inward, using the breath as an anchor for presence while creating space to connect with your inner clarity and wisdom.
Simply allow yourself to listen, notice, and be present with whatever arises.
When you're ready, press play to begin.
Reflection
This is an invitation to take a moment before moving on with your day.
To help you integrate the practice, you might like to journal about one or more of these questions:
What have you discovered about yourself throughout this seven-day practice?
What practices or insights have supported you most?
How can you continue creating moments of calm and connection beyond these seven days?
Your Calm Journey
Notice → Ground → Attune → Support → Restore → Embody → Trust
Congratulations on Completing Your Calm Journey
Over the past seven days, you have taken time to slow down, turn inward, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself through evidence-informed practices that support the mind, body, and nervous system.
DAY 1: Cultivating Presence
You developed the observing self and experienced meta-awareness, the ability to observe your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and experiences with greater curiosity rather than becoming completely caught up in them.
DAY 2: Grounding
You strengthened psychological flexibility, the capacity to be steady and adaptable choose how you respond rather than being guided only by automatic reactions.
DAY 3: Awareness of Breath
You cultivated interoceptive awareness through observing the breath, the ability to sense and understand the subtle signals of your body, helping you recognise what you may need in each moment.
DAY 4: Breath Training
You practised optimising your breath, exploring how intentional breathing can support physiological balance and nervous system regulation, strengthening your ability to influence your internal state with awareness and care.
DAY 5: Calming Breath
You developing greater nervous system flexibility and learned a practice to create intentional moments of true restoration, allowing yourself to soften, settle, and reconnect amidst the demands of everyday life.
DAY 7: Body Scan
You practised deepening embodiment, the experience of fully inhabiting your physical self and developing a more connected relationship with your body.
DAY 8: Inner Knowing
And finally, you strengthened self-trust by connecting with the quiet clarity that can emerge when we create enough space to listen inward.
Returning to Calm
Calm is not the absence of challenge, difficult emotions, or uncertainty. It is the capacity to remain connected to yourself as you move through life's experiences.
I sincerely hope these practices continue to support you in returning to presence, steadiness, and connection whenever you need them.
Thank you for sharing this journey :)
